How to take better photos with your instax? 5 tricks to make your photos stand out.

You bought your first instax but your photos are not looking as good as you want? Here are 5 tips that I found most helpful to take better photos with instax.

  1. Contrast your subject with background

If your model is wearing light, white clothes try to pair it with a dark or colorful background. Do the opposite if your model is wearing all black. Best idea is to mix complementary colors so if you or your model is wearing something red choose green background like forest or grass. You can try different variations like blue-orange or yellow-purple.

  2. Catch the moment

Don't pose your models. It can look strange and boring. Instead of posing try something different! You want your model to smile? Tell some jokes or make funny face and when your model is starting to laugh press the shutter! Boom! Same situations when you are trying to take landscapes. Just wait for a perfect moment like sunrise or sunset and take some amazing photos.

  3. Use natural ligthing

Light is a key. You should avoid taking photos in bad light conditions so try not to take photos inside. Go outside and enjoy some amazing natural lighting. If you need to take photos inside move closer to window or eventually turn the lights on.

  4. Try the same subject from different angles

Don't be boring with your angles! Try to take photos from above your subject or consider low angle.
Generally the best angle is the eye level of your subject but dont stick to that and be creative...

  5.  Be creative and have fun

Use different films, take photos in different location just enjoy it and have fun using your instax! It's amazing camera for every purpose and it may be a really great way to make some new friends. Just take a photos of strangers and give them prints! You can see some amazing reactions!
